lemon & lime

Anna wears:

Marcs top, pants, jacket
Saba bag
Vintage watch
Chanel ring
Jimmy Choo flats

I wanted my new purchase, this yellow-green bag to pop, which is why I paired it with darker colours. It was a really good buy for my standards, as I had been eyeing it for a couple of months when it was full price, and then BAM the next time I saw it, it was on sale with a further 20% off. Which means….. I got it for almost 50% off! I was a happy shopper =D

Finding the time to meet is proving to be quite difficult as the year goes on, so Alvina and I had to be satisfied with a 9pm catch-up. Not only does this mean we’re extremely tired (which probably shows in my photos), but there is absolutely no natural light for our photographs.. which is why we have made this little location our go-to spot during late night meet ups. Whether it’s our own secret place, or it’s in fact widely used, we’re not really sure. I just hope we have more opportunities to see each other in the day time! Hope you’re all getting the most out of each and every day ^_^

@nawaz

Entree; Spicy calamari with tiger prawns: Calamari rings stir fried in olive oil with ginger, garlic, fresh coriander and Indian spices finishing with a touch of lime. Served with 2 pieces of tandoori prawns on side.

This was one of the most exquisite entrees I have had in a while. I’m not sure if that means I just haven’t been eating out at really good restaurants, or if this was indeed as delicious and superb as I am making it out to be, but I enjoyed every single bite. Not only is it visually appealing, the flavours match up perfectly with that subtle grilled taste.

This entree definitely teased my taste buddies as they instantly fell into attraction with the zesty tingle and plump juicy calamari pieces.

Kashmiri lamb: A mild curry, diced lamb flavoured with staranise and sour cream

I thought this was quite enjoyable also, and accompanied with the rice, made for a flavoursome party in your mouth

It was a little sweet for my lovin, but it did the job in making a nice complimentary tang with the rice!

Chicken butter masala: Tandoori chicken fillets in a tomato - fenugreek curry sauce

Smoooth butter chicken. I have said this before in our previous Indian cuisine encounter, and i’ll say it again… butter chicken can do no wrong :)

As Anna said above, there is no way that butter chicken can EVER go wrong =), loved the creaminess fused with the soft delicate chicken pieces YUM.

Capture the Scene

Anna wears:

T by Alexander Wang sweater
Gorman shirt and shoes
Motel Rocks skirt
Subtitled jacket
Miu Miu bracelet
Marc Jacobs bag

I’d been meaning to wear this skirt again for a while, so decided to do so before it got too cold to be bare legged. Although I originally intended for a colourful top to go with it, I felt sad for this poor little sweater which had not seen the light of day for a couple of months, so decided it should accompany me out. I feel like this outfit is somewhat a mash up of all my neglected items; the bag and shoes had also slowly been collecting dust.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far ^_^

O r i E n x o t i c a l

Alvina wears:

Vintage floral shirt
Thrifted top
Miss Shop skirt
Scarf (made of a random piece of fabric i found)
Fossil bag
Vintage Ferragamo shoes

I found a random piece of fabric and attempted to re create Issey Miyake’s womens’ robe scarf from S/S 11. His beautiful scarf appears to be a soft floaty cloud, so i thought i would recreate it by adding some mystic vibes to this outfit. I’ve always had an obsession with the unknown and exotic, hence the name of this post is orienxotical =) Hope you all have an interesting week ^^ xoxo

@bills

Corn fritters

I would love to say this tastes as good as it looks, but unfortuneately it was rather plain. The only part I enjoyed was the bacon, and the rest was just mediocre. Really not worth the price, and I fail to understand why this place received such praise from people we know.

Chicken sandwich

This was overall quite refreshing and zesty despite it’s simple look. As a lover of anything fused with coconut, it enabled me to accept that the bread was a little too hard to chew. The tender chicken with the refreshing crunch of the cucumber made a light tasty lunch =)

a little bit of coco & audrey

Alvina wears:

Red Berry high waist skirt
Pinz Milano jacket
My mother’s vintage top
Vintage pearl necklace & bangle
Prada sunnies
Vintage Ferragamo heels
Vintage suede Escada bag

Black & white is normally not in my usual dress code, but i was dressing up for a vintage themed party later in the night..(hence almost everything i am wearing is vintage =D) I was fusing my love for the elegance echoed throughout vintage Coco Chanel, topped off with some pearls. As mentioned already in the title, i also stole a little bit of Audrey Hepburn’s playful character ;). Vintage garments are the best as they are awesome quality and reduces us purchasing instant landfill (cheap mass produced *&#@! eww..). I hope we are all more careful the next time we purchase a garment xoxo !

Happy Colours

Anna wears:

Alannah Hill cardigan
Marcs colour block top
Forever New skirt
Princess Polly necklace
Chanel ring
Vintage Oroton bag
Mimco shoes

I have a huge love for all colours similar to pink, which would include peach, orange, nude, etc., so the colour combination in this outfit really appeals to me. I just feel like these colours give off a very happy vibe, so when I wear something like this, I'm immediately in a refreshing, joyful mood! This skirt was a bargain buy at around $17, so this definitely adds to my good mood too! =D

Also, this was when I had recently got a hair cut, and because it was at a weird length, I wore it like this for a while. My fringe is shorter too, and I kind of like it like this. Might have to pay another visit to the hairdresser!

Happy Wednesday
xoxo
