Lonely street

This is actually an alleyway, don't think it has a name to it...which technically doesn't make it a street? Either way it's such a fun place to muck around in because there's not many people, and even if there are, they give us one glance then walk away. Okay..well sometimes there are those people that just like to stare, but we don't really do anything worth staring at.

Anyways, we haven't done an outfit post in a while, but we're meeting up a lot more which = a lot more outfit posts! And maybe more food ones too ^^

Marcs top . Wrangler jeans . Alannah Hill necklace . Mimco heels & studs
So..this is my new short-ish hair =) I like it a little wavy rather than just plain straight, but now i’m kinda missing my long straight hair too.. Oh well, it’ll grow out soon enough!

Another Shop acid washed jeans . Decjuba jacket . Graniph tee . Cotton On sunnies . Wittner pumps

I have a tendency to twist my ankle like this when I stand up straight. Have no idea why…I guess it’s just a random habit.

Received stares from random man on platform and glares from old lady security guard in the train but WHATEVER =p

Casa Asturiana

Fortunately we found some photos on the site for the restaurant, but not for the scallops, as they are part of the Specials Menu. The photos are a little misleading though...they don't look quite as appetising in real life =b

Ensaladilla Rusa $10; Traditional potato salad mixed with tuna, prawns, olives & peas in mayonnaise dressing.

The description mentions prawn, but we really couldn’t find it. At first we thought the orange cubes were it, but on second thought they tasted and looked more like carrot. This was a pretty common dish when it came to taste, and something that seems easy to make. Probably not worth the $$$.

This tasted just like an ordinary salad, eating raw potatoes in mayonnaise would have had the same effect. There were supposedly prawns which were no where to be found and i would say the wall grabbed my interest more than this dish…

Patatas Bravas $9; Fried cubed potatoes topped with spicy tomato salsa. Served hot.

This was really nice. The tomato salsa was tangy and delicious and I would probably continue to get this if I go back. And being one of the more affordable choices, this dish is good in terms of the amount they give you and taste.

A great balance of crispyness on the outside with soft potato on the inside. The zesty tangy sauce was excellent to complete that savoury taste.

Parmesan Scallops (served hot) $14.50; Oven baked scallops, marinated with garlic, egg & ground cumin. Served with parmesan cheese.

This was actually my second time having this, and it wasn’t as good as the first. I think it has a lot to do with the number of customers they have, because overall everything was lacking because there were more people the second time around. I really enjoy scallops, so i’d still say this was a good choice, but the fact that the taste varies so greatly on different occasions, makes me think twice about getting it again. Even the quantity was different! I was really suprised because probably about half the amount I had the first time, came out this day…

The taste was too bitter and rubbery for my liking, it also was not rich enough in cheese to make up for this bitterness. Unfortunately it sounded better than it looked…

We also ordered steamed jasmine rice, but at $5.50 for a small plate, it is a bit pricey. They do give complimentary bread rolls with butter at the start, which is an extra $1.30 for more.

Anna: Purchase #4

MARCS coat

My new coat! I think they have it in black as well, but i'd been looking for a camel coloured one for ages. There's one on asos that looks pretty nice, but the sleeves are 3/4 so doesn't seem very practical.

Also, we had dinner at this Spanish restaurant in the city last week, but the photos on the camera got deleted, so we're just going to have to make-do without them... =(. But we'll still do a post about it~

Anddd, i'm still on track with my purchases! I have 21 left, which is probably enough for the rest of the year. I guess Alvina's just more on track than I am XD

Anna: Purchase #3

7 FOR ALL MANKIND boots

Another pair of boots =) I wanted some comfortable flat black ankle boots, so I could wear them to uni as well, but these will have to do for now. I know they're still considered flat but I really wish they didn't have the extra 3cms at the heel.. I still like them though, don't even know why i'm complaining.

Also, I got a haircut a couple of days ago! It's a lot shorter than before, but i'm really liking short hair at the moment so I guess I like mine too =)

Anna - Purchase #2

roberto del carlo boots

I don't think the photos do these boots any justice, but I love them so so much. And i'm so glad that it's finally getting colder, because I have an obsession for ankle boots and coats ♡ ...oh, and stripes, but that doesn't really have anything to do with winter.
